Frequently Asked Questions

How do I care for Chamois hand block printed items?

All Chamois textiles in cotton and linen can be hand washed or machine washed using a short, gentle cycle for silk/wool.

  • 30 degrees for tablecloths.
  • 40 degrees for napkins, kitchen towels and other textiles
  • Items that are hand block printed should not be soaked for lengthy periods. Do not use a washing liquid or powder that contains bleach. Hang in the shade to dry (tumble drying is not recommended). Roll your textiles where possible and store them in a dry place out of direct sunlight.
Can I soak or bleach Chamois products?

No. Hand block-printed textiles should not be soaked for extended periods. Wash on a short, gentle cycle using a mild wool wash detergent, which is formulated to care for delicate natural fibres and printed fabrics. Do not use detergents containing bleach or optical brighteners.

How should I dry my Chamois textiles?

Hang your Chamois textiles to dry in the shade. Tumble drying is not recommended.

What is the best way to store Chamois textiles?

To preserve the beauty of your Chamois textiles, roll them, where possible, for storage and keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

How do I care for the linen throws, cushions and curtains?

For Lovely Linens, wash at a maximum of 40 degrees with a mild, bleach-free detergent. Tumble dry on a light heat setting, removing them before they are fully dry to air dry out of the sun.

Will my linen items shed lint?

Yes. Natural linen may shed a small amount of lint during the first few washes. This is a normal characteristic of the fibre and will diminish over time. To minimise lint transfer, wash linen separately or with similar fabrics for the first few washes.

What is the return policy for cushions and soft furnishings?

Please choose carefully. For hygiene reasons, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges for cushion covers, bedding and other soft furnishings if you change your mind.

Can I purchase vintage items for my living space?

Yes. We believe every home is enriched by a few carefully chosen vintage pieces that add character, history and individuality. Our curated vintage collection has been selected to complement our European homewares and sit beautifully alongside contemporary interiors. Please note that vintage items are sold as-is and are not eligible for return if you change your mind.
