Frequently Asked Questions

How do I wash Lovely Linens?

Wash at a maximum of 40 degrees with a mild detergent that doesn't contain bleach.

Can I tumble dry Lovely Linen products?

Yes, Lovely Linens can be tumble dried on a light setting that is not too hot. Take the items out before they are fully dry and leave them to air dry out of the sun.

How can I reduce lint from linen items after washing?

Washing linen will naturally leave lint for the first few times. Ironing the item once will help to reduce the amount of lint. It is also best not to mix linen with other items in the wash as it can transfer lint.

Should I iron Lovely Linen to keep it soft?

While you can iron it once to reduce initial lint, Lovely Linens are designed for a relaxed look. Taking them out of the tumble dryer slightly damp and air-drying helps maintain their beautiful, natural texture without the need for ironing.

How long do portable lamps last outside?

All Zafferano portable lamps (like the Poldina Pro) are rechargeable and will last for at least 9 hours on a full charge, or longer on a dimmer setting. Simply recharge them overnight.

Are tablecloths and napkins suitable for outdoor use?

Yes, our Chamois and Lovely Linen textiles are great for alfresco dining. However, to preserve the colors especially for hand block printed items hang them in the shade to dry and store them out of direct sunlight when not in use.

Can I use the indoor ceramics for outdoor dining?

Absolutely, Sthål and Civ'ita ceramics are perfect for alfresco dining. Sthål pieces are even ovenproof up to 200 degrees, making them ideal for bringing warm dishes directly to the outdoor table.

Are the Zafferano portable lamps waterproof?

Zafferano portable lamps are designed for everyday indoor and outdoor use. While they are not waterproof and must never be submerged in water, they are built to withstand normal outdoor conditions.

Depending on the model, Zafferano portable lamps have an IP54 or IP65 protection rating, providing resistance to dust and protection against splashing water or light rain. They are ideal for use on patios, balconies and outdoor dining areas.

Always remove the lamp from its charging base before using it outdoors, as the charging base is intended for indoor use only.

What is the return policy for bathroom towels?

Due to hygiene reasons, personal-use items such as towels and bath linen are not eligible for return or exchange once delivered unless the item is faulty or not as described.

How do I care for my linen bath towels?

Wash Lovely Linen towels at a maximum of 40 degrees using a mild detergent without bleach. Tumble dry on a low setting and remove before fully dry to air dry out of the sun.

Will the linen bath towels leave lint?

Yes, washing linen will leave lint for the first few times. Ironing once can help reduce this. Always wash your linen towels separately to avoid transferring lint to other items.

Why are there slight variations in the colour of some items?

Our European brands use traditional artisan techniques, so subtle variations are a natural part of their beauty and individuality.

  • STHÅL ceramics feature distinctive reactive glazes and hand-finished detailing, creating unique variations in colour, depth and texture that give every piece its own artisan-inspired character.
  • Zafferano handmade glassware is individually handcrafted, so slight variations in colour, size, thickness and shape are to be expected. These natural differences are part of the craftsmanship and ensure every glass is uniquely beautiful.
  • Chamois and Lovely Linen textiles are produced using traditional printing and dyeing techniques. Slight variations in colour and pattern can occur between items and between production runs. As these textiles are made from natural fibres, the underlying flax or cotton base can also vary slightly from season to season, influencing the final colour and giving each production run its own authentic character.

These variations are not imperfections. They are a hallmark of authentic craftsmanship and reflect the individuality of every piece.
